The next quarterly meeting of the Texas Heritage
Society will be our annual Christmas meeting which will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at 18 West Shaker Court in The Woodlands. See
map here. We have lined up another great speaker and Texas author, David J. Murrah,
Dr. David J. Murrah is a former Associate Director of
Libraries and the former Director of the Southwest Collection at Texas Tech University. Dr. Murrah is also the author of a number of different Texas
history books including: "And Are We Yet Alive," The Centennial History of
the Northwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church (2009); Oil, Taxes and Cats, The History of the
Devitt Family and the Mallet Ranch (1994); C. C. Slaughter,
Rancher Banker, Baptist (1981).

meeting, the December 2 meeting would be great chance for you to come and visit. Come ready to learn some
