   In 1901, E. G. Littlejohn, the Principal of West Braodway School in Galveston, Texas and Secretary of the Texas Historical Society, published his book, Texas History Stories. His publisher was Johnson Publishing of Richmond, Virginia.  This edition was published as a text book for the Texas public schools.

   Many of your great grandparents, grandparents and parents learned Texas History from the pages of this book.  Texas History Stories presented Texas history in a very heroic and entertaining manner.  Here is Texas history the way it used to be taught.

   In an effort to preserve this wonderful book and make it available to thousands of people worldwide, The Texas Heritage Society will scan this book one chapter at a time and transcribe the text so that search engines can find the data.
